FIRE INSPECTOR / LEECH LABS

Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026 · Fire Inspector and Fire Inspector Preview

Who operates Fire Inspector

Fire Inspector and Fire Inspector Preview are operated by Leech Labs. This policy covers the iOS and Android technician apps and their connected Fire Inspector services. Fire Inspector helps service companies document equipment inspections and field work. Your company controls its workspace, assignments, and business records. Contact Leech Labs at hello@leechlabs.io for privacy or support requests.

Information sent to our services

In connected mode, authentication sends your work email and password to managed Neon Auth. Account and workspace records include user identifiers, names, roles, technician assignments, and any contact details supplied by your company. The app retrieves assigned sites, street addresses, equipment, visit schedules, and inspection history. Changes you make, including inspection results, checklist answers, notes, findings, service and replacement records, completion information, and activity timestamps, are sent to the Fire Inspector backend when synchronized.

Photos, signatures, and reports

Photographs you choose or take as inspection evidence are normalized and stored locally until uploaded to private cloud storage. Uploaded photos are linked to the relevant inspection or finding. Customer signer names and captured signatures can be uploaded with visit records. Only chosen images are attached; the app does not upload your whole photo library. Reports can contain customer/site details, findings, evidence, and signatures. Printing or sharing a report uses your device tools; recipients you choose receive its contents. Do not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in work records or photographs.

Information on your device

Assigned work and a pending synchronization queue are cached on the device for offline use. Authentication credentials use Expo SecureStore. The operational cache and retained evidence are not an encrypted recovery vault. Signing out does not erase all cached workspace records or photos; retained work remains associated with its account. Failed or revoked-account work may remain locally for recovery. Removing app storage or uninstalling can remove local work, including unsynchronized changes. Demo Mode stores synthetic demonstration work on the device and does not synchronize those demonstration records to our backend.

Camera, photos, location, and optional features

Camera and photo access are requested for QR scanning and evidence you select. QR scanning resolves equipment identifiers. The app has no device-location collection SDK or background location tracking. Selecting Navigate passes the site destination address to Apple Maps or Google Maps, which operates under its own terms and privacy policy. A site street address in a work record is different from a GPS reading of your device. Photos may contain visible personal information; do not assume photo metadata has been removed. You can deny or revoke camera/photo permission in device settings and use available manual inspection features.

Why information is used

We use information to authenticate users, enforce company and assignment permissions, synchronize field work, maintain equipment and service history, generate reports, provide support, and protect the service. Workspace users with the appropriate permissions can access company records. The candidate includes no advertising SDK, cross-app tracking, paid native purchase flow, dedicated analytics SDK, or cloud/AI analysis feature. A company may separately pay for its Fire Inspector service; downloading this mobile app is free.

Providers and sharing

Neon provides managed authentication, PostgreSQL/Data API, the API function, and private object storage for connected records and evidence. Hostinger hosts the public website and browser application; Expo/EAS provides app build and distribution infrastructure. Apple and Google operate their stores and device services under their own policies. Network requests necessarily expose technical connection information such as IP addresses and request metadata to service infrastructure, and providers may keep operational or security logs. We have not established a universal provider-log retention period. We do not use app data for advertising or cross-app tracking. We may provide records to authorized company users, service providers performing the functions above, parties you select when sharing, or authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Security

Connected requests use HTTPS. The backend checks authenticated company, role, and assignment access. Evidence storage is private and retrieval uses time-limited signed links. Native session credentials use platform secure storage. These measures reduce risk; they do not guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and account, and avoid sharing reports or signed links with unintended recipients.

Retention and deletion

Work records and uploaded evidence persist in the connected company workspace; there is no automatic deletion when an inspection is completed or when you sign out. Retention depends on the company’s recordkeeping needs, support/security needs, and applicable obligations. We do not promise a fixed retention or backup-purge period. Request deletion or correction through your company administrator and hello@leechlabs.io. Leech Labs verifies identity and the scope of a request before acting. Account removal does not necessarily remove company-owned equipment and service history, and some records may need to be retained. No automatic in-app account-deletion feature is present. This policy does not claim a completed deletion process or deadline.

Your choices and requests

You can withhold optional photos or signatures when the company workflow permits, control device permissions, select report recipients, and contact your administrator about access and record corrections. Contact hello@leechlabs.io to request access, correction, deletion, or help with account closure. Do not email a password, access token, or unnecessary customer records. This business tool is intended for company personnel and is not directed to children.
